1. Three Level Product Sync - This feature allows products with multiple hierarchy levels in Akeneo to be synced properly to Shopify. It lets you configure which level of the product model should act as the parent product in Shopify. This is useful when Akeneo has deeper product variant structures than Shopify supports.
2. Category Mapping Generation for Pre Existing Collections in Shopify - This feature links existing Shopify collections with categories created in Akeneo. It automatically generates mappings so that products assigned to categories in Akeneo appear in the correct Shopify collections. This helps maintain the existing collection structure in Shopify without creating duplicates.
3. Product Mapping Generation for Pre Existing Products in Shopify - This feature connects products already available in Shopify with corresponding products in Akeneo. It creates mappings between the two systems so that updates from Akeneo are applied to the correct Shopify products. This prevents duplicate product creation during synchronization.
4. Image Alt Text Sync for Images and Image URLs in Akeneo Community Edition and Enterprise Edition
1. Step - 1 : Create a text attribute with the following code - image attribute code_alttext Ex: image_1_alttext
2. Step - 2 : Ensure the Image, Image URL attributes are mapped on the UI under Media section
5. Image Alt Text Sync for Asset Images Akeneo Enterprise Edition - In Akeneo Enterprise Edition, images can be managed through the Asset Manager. This feature ensures that ALT text associated with asset images is also synchronized to Shopify. It helps maintain consistent image metadata across both platforms.
6. Attribute Concatenation - Attribute concatenation is a feature that allows multiple attributes from Akeneo to be combined into a single field when syncing data to Shopify. Instead of mapping each attribute separately, selected attributes (such as short description, material, and specifications) are merged together into one target field. This helps organize product information efficiently and ensures all relevant details appear in a single section on the Shopify product page.
7. Fitment Sync as a JSON Metafield - Fitment (Year, Make, Model) are often used for compatibility data, especially in automotive products. This feature syncs the fitment data from Akeneo to Shopify as a JSON metafield. It allows Shopify to store structured compatibility information for products.
